Good Heavens...

St. Peter is on duty at the Pearly Gates of Heaven where he
meets those who's time on Earth had come to an end and
he decides whether or not they enter Heaven or "the
other place". A woman is the first newcomer for the
day and St. Peter greets her. He asks her "have you
been a good person all your life? The woman replies "yes,
I tried my very best to be good. I went to church each and every
Sunday, I never ever swore, and I never drank, smoked or
gambled. St. Peter said to her "excellent my ,
I will be pleased to welcome you to Heaven" He turns
to Archangel Gabriel and says "Gabriel, this person
lived like a Saint, take her to the Gold Room". Gabriel
follows his orders. A second lady is the next in line and
St. Peter asks her the the same question. She replies "well
I honestly tried to be a good person, but a I told a lie once.
I felt very guilty about it so I went to church and told a priest
what I have done. The priest prayed for me and said I would
be forgiven if never lied again and that I should go to church
every Sunday. And that is what I did." St. Peter said
'very good my , I am proud of your willpower and
strength to resist temptation." He calls Archangel
Gabriel and says to him "she tried her best to be a good
person and she's welcomed here, take her to the Silver
Room". A third lady is next and is asked the same question
and she reply's "I'm afraid that I was a very
bad girl". St. Peter asks her "what do you mean
you were a bad girl"? She replies, I never listened
to my parents or teachers and I never went to church, I just
thought all that stuff was so boring so I left home when I
was 18, and lived a wild life ever since. I had tons of boyfriends,
constantly got stoned on booze and pot and partied all night
till daylight. Yes, I've been a very bad person".
She hangs her head down and looked very sad. St. Peter says
to her "there, there my , don't feel so bad,
I can use my power to allow you to redeem your soul".
He calls Gabriel over and says to him "Gabriel, take
her to my room".
